Corktown Detroit Engagement Photos with Meghan & Eugene

Meghan & Eugene had an amazingly romantic evening for their Corktown Detroit engagement photos! The sun was shining…but then it rained buckets. And then the sun came out! But then it rained tons again…. and then the sun came out- wait it’s raining! But you know that can only mean that a giant amazing rainbow appeared out of nowhere for us and rocked these engagement photos! It’s like it was meant to be.

Before we photographed their Corktown Detroit engagement photos, this lovely couple celebrated their anniversary at Corktown’s amazing Lady of the House with a delicious five course meal. They had no clue what the weather was doing from inside the romantic candlelit restaurant. Once outside, we wavered for a minute, spotted the rainbow, crossed our fingers, and the rest was history! We had a great summer evening walk downtown and around Detroit’s historic Corktown neighborhood.

Engagement sessions are the best! We really get to know our couples so much better- their quirks, their interactions, and their personalities. It helps us get to know them, and how they interact, and it helps them get to know us better too! It’s so nice to walk into a wedding day feeling like you’re spending the day with old friends. It helps the couple feel confident in front of the camera, and it puts everyone at ease!

We are so happy we got to spend time with Meghan and Eugene for their Corktown Detroit engagement photos. They are such a lovely couple- so in love and so very sweet! We are so very excited for their upcoming wedding- their ceremony will be at the historic St. Mary Royal Oak Catholic Church, and the reception at the amazing Ann Arbor wedding venue Frutig Farms- Misty Farm. We love shooting at Frutig Farms– remember this wedding at The Valley, and this wedding at Misty Farm? This was one of our first weddings at Misty Farm and was so special! One of our all-time favorite Ann Arbor wedding venues! Can’t wait to share photos from this beautiful couple’s amazing wedding day!
