Lindsey & James’s Rochester Wedding at the Royal Park Hotel

Lindsey and James had an amazing wedding day at the Royal Park Hotel. Never mind that it was a slightly chilly and rainy October day- it’s good luck if it rains on your wedding day! Their ceremony was full of light and emotion, in the Royal Park Hotel conservatory. The flowers were beautiful, by Floral Designs by Lori. They had great details, inspired by Fall in Michigan (our favorite season) as well as a Celtic influence and even their clan tartan. Lindsey’s mon Janine gave her a sixpence to wear inside her shoe for good luck too. The band is our new favorite- Huckleberry Groove. They were not your typical wedding band, and they had the guests on the dance floor all night! It was so much fun, and we are so happy that Lindsey and James let us share their awesome day with them!

Lindsey & James’s Engagement Session at The Royal Park Hotel

We had a great time photographing Lindsey and James in Rochester for their fall-color engagement session! Their awesome wedding was just at the Royal Park Hotel. Check out some of our favorite engagement photos from their session around the hotel and near the lovely woodsy area near Paint Creek. Look for a sneak peek from their wedding in the next week!

Amy & Tom’s Grosse Pointe Academy Wedding

Amy and Tom are a great couple, and we have really enjoyed working with them! Their ceremony took place at the Grosse Pointe Academy Chapel. It rained a bit, but that’s supposed to be good luck on your wedding day!  Amy was lucky enough to be surrounded by four generations of women in her family, including her great-grandmother! She carried a handkerchief with her that has been held by all of the brides in Tom’s family for nearly a century, and a very fragile note card accompanied it, signed by all of the ladies that proceeded her. Her flowers were beautiful autumn bouquets, designed by Village Florist of Romeo. Their cake was done by Hodell’s Cake Shop. Dan Nichols was the DJ for the evening, and kept the guests happy and dancing all night. Congratulations Amy & Tom!

Amy & Tom’s Ann Arbor Engagement Session

Amy and Tom wanted to do their engagement session at one of their favorite places – Nichols Arboretum in Ann Arbor.  It was so beautiful and lush at this time of year.  After The Arb we headed over to Kerrytown for a few photos using the historic brick buildings as a backdrop.  We are looking forward to their wedding this weekend!
