Heather & Jared’s Downtown Detroit Engagement Session

Heather and Jared are playful, fun and really cute together! They love all of the Art Deco architecture in Detroit, and we had a great time doing their engagement photos walking around downtown. We are looking forward to their wedding this weekend at the Pine Knob Mansion!

Erin & Joey’s Traverse City Beach Wedding

Erin and Joey had a touching and beautiful wedding day in Traverse City. They were married at The Park Shore Resort, with a breathtaking view of the East Grand Traverse Bay. Erin was a stunning bride with vintage-inspired styling- her finger wave bobbed hairdo and birdcage veil looked amazing! There were so many personal touches- Erin’s father Jim is a talented artist, and created unique handmade ceramic tiles for all of their lucky guests; they were married by their good friend Marissa, and Joey wore an antique tie clip that belonged to Erin’s grandfather. The flowers were really lovely, by Premier Floral Design. They are such a happy couple, and we had a wonderful time up north with them and their awesome family and friends!

Melissa & Ty’s Vintage Inspired Earhart Manor Wedding in Ann Arbor

Melissa and Ty had an awesome (and only slightly rainy!) wedding day in Ann Arbor, at Concordia University’s historic Earhart Manor. We started off the day in downtown Ann Arbor, where they love to hang out and where, nearby, Ty proposed to Melissa on a wild scavenger hunt! Melissa’s details were so pretty and vintage- her adorable “something-blue” shoes, both of her amazing dresses, and the color coordinated parasols went great with the girls bright sunny dresses and the guys unique bow ties. Her mom is a renaissance woman- she did all of the floral design, and each bouquet was wrapped with pieces from her own wedding veil. She also made their picture-perfect wedding cake! The blue mason jars all came from Melissa’s grandmother’s basement, and the teacher-themed apples and pencils with vintage salt & pepper shakers rounded out the DIY table settings, with a happy color palette of sunny yellow and light aqua blue. Their ceremony was touching, emotional, and happy, and the rain waited until it was over to start pouring. But they were rewarded with a rainbow on their wedding day, and the guests couldn’t have had a better time, dancing to great old Motown, soul, and dance music by The 1′s and 2′s. We had a great time working with Melissa and Ty for their wedding!

Katie & Justin’s Lansing Wedding

Katie and Justin had an amazing wedding day! Their ceremony was at the MSU Alumni Chapel and the reception took place at The MSU Henry Center. They were surrounded by close friends and family to help them celebrate, with so many personal touches. Katie’s mom is so talented- she made their cake as well as a special wedding quilt for all of the guests to leave messages for them. Their groomsmen surprised the couple with a car full of balloons and decorations. Petal & Forrest made the beautiful bouquets. After the ceremony, we headed to the MSU Children’s Garden as well as the Capitol building, which is where Justin proposed to Katie. The evening included a special tribute dance to Katie’s parents for their own wedding anniversary. It was an amazing wedding day, and Katie and Justin couldn’t have been more happy and in love- congratulations to them!!
