Amy and Tom wanted to do their engagement session at one of their favorite places – Nichols Arboretum in Ann Arbor. It was so beautiful and lush at this time of year. After The Arb we headed over to Kerrytown for a few photos using the historic brick buildings as a backdrop. We are looking forward to their wedding this weekend!
Stefania and Nate had a beautiful crisp September wedding day! You might remember seeing their engagement photos that we took last fall. These two are so in love and so great together! Stefania started her day surrounded with family. They were even able to Skype with her grandmother in Italy, who wasn’t able to attend the wedding. Their ceremony was at the Woodside Bible Church in Warren, and their reception was at Villa Penna’s in Sterling Heights. Stefania’s flowers were gorgeous- a vibrant fall color mix designed by Parsonage Flowers & Events. Their guests were thrilled to celebrate with them- most of them being Stefania’s very large and loving Italian family! They danced the night away and everyone had a great time! We are so honored that they shared their amazing day with us!
Cara and John had an incredible wedding day on Belle Isle in Detroit. They had their first look in the beautiful Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory, and their ceremony took place outside in the formal gardens. Rev. Stephen Hulbert did a wonderful job officiating the ceremony. John’s Dad lent them the keys to his amazing 1940 Mercury Eight, all polished and shiny for the newly married couple! They took a drive around the island as onlookers clapped and cheered them on! They have a love for all things vintage, as Cara’s styling was very throwback glam. Their reception took place at the Belle Isle Casino, a historic Albert Kahn building, which is looking better than ever! John is a chef with Oakland University’s Chartwells, and he and the team there did an amazing job with the food. The strolling dinner was an homage to all of the great Detroit stand-bys- Mexicantown, Greektown, Coneys (of course), soul food, Hamtramck Polish food, and so much more. Amy from 23 Eleven Events kept the whole day running smoothly. They rocked the night away with lots of 90s era hip hop classics by DJ Mike Scroggs. It was a great wedding, and we are so happy they chose us to celebrate with them!
Lindsay and Scott had a beautiful wedding day! They were married at the historic Grosse Pointe Academy Chapel, and their reception was on the Academy’s sprawling and lush front lawn. The day was extra special, since it was also Lindsay’s parents’ anniversary! Lindsay’s details were so pretty, inspired by a peacock feather’s color palette. The flowers were lovely, designed by Charvat the Florist in Grosse Pointe. A highlight of the evening was when Lindsay’s brother introduced Scott’s surprise serenade to Lindsay (meaning Scott was surprised too)! Their band Trilogy had people out on the dance floor all night and everyone had such a great time! We are so happy and honored that they chose us to capture their awesome day!

Whitney and Jeremy had a beautiful wedding day at the Rattlesnake Club in Downtown Detroit. Whitney was surrounded by the great women in her life as she got ready, in a custom designed dress made by her good friend Gwen. Their garden ceremony, overlooking the Riverwalk, was lovely. As always, the staff at the Rattlesnake was amazing, and Dorine from Wedding Architects made the whole day run smoothly. Petit Fleur designed the florals, and they were beautiful! DJ Invisible kept the crowd on the dance floor all evening. The couple had a wonderful day, and exited in style as their guests celebrated them with a sparkler grand finale. We are so happy that they chose us to celebrate their awesome day with them!
