Mira & Judd’s Engagement Photos

Mira & Judd met at a party- Judd spilled a drink on Mira, and luckily the rest is history. They are so easy and playful with each other, and so easy going- they really appreciate their time together and love every minute of it! Here is a peek at their engagement session- we’ll be posting some photos from their fabulous wedding at The Community House in Birmingham very soon!

Stephanie & Hans get married at the historic Detroit Yacht Club on Belle Isle

Stephanie and Hans had their first date on Belle Isle when they first met as Wayne State students. They went to the orchid room at the amazing Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory. So it made sense that all these years later, this was the first place they chose to see each other on their wedding day. Detroit is an important place for them- they met here and Hans is an architecture buff, so passionate about the city’s ongoing revival. He gave each of his groomsmen a historic photo of Detroit from local Midtown shop City Bird. Stephanie looked beautiful with her vintage feathered hair piece and classic pearls, and her bouquet and flower arrangements were artfully arranged by one of our favorite Detroit florists- Blumz. Their ceremony and reception both took place at the historic Detroit Yacht Club. The DYC is so rich with history and nautical charm. Guests were welcome to mingle on the terrace overlooking the dock and the yachts along the Detroit River. It was a really sweet wedding, and we are so happy to have been a part of it!

Laura & Brad’s colorful wedding at the Country Club of Lansing

Laura & Brad’s upbeat wedding day at the Country Club of Lansing was filled with color and laughter and love. Their awesome group of friends and family helped them put their own unique stamp on their wedding with all of their charming and bright DIY details. Cute hand-drawn messages and signs were posted on colorful chalkboards throughout the venue; bright paper lanterns filled the tent (hung so expertly by Laura’s Dad!); her brother Peter officiated the wedding (he recently became official…online!); her mom made the awesome cupcakes and her sister made the delicious wedding cake. Vintage glass bottles held a pretty mix of wild and colorful flowers. Brad (his friends call him Lew) was very specific about a few things- he wasn’t wearing a suit and tie (“I’m just not a suit and tie kind of guy”) and his favorite color is orange, so it didn’t take much to convince him of their bright and cheerful color palette of pink and orange. He and the guys were comfortable and laid back in their linen shirts, khakis and sandals. Laura’s favorite flowers- poppies and peonies- were incorporated beautifully into the bouquets and casual vintage-inspired arrangements by Petal & Forrest out of Lansing- the flowers were gorgeous!

Laura & Brad are so perfect together and perfectly in love- they made each other laugh the whole day- they never stopped smiling, looking so fine, and being happy together. We are so excited that they included us in their amazing day!

We’ve included some of our faves from the day- which photos are your favorites? Let us know by leaving comments below!

Ali & Brian’s Rustic Country Wedding in Romeo, MI

Ali and Brian were married at the historic First Congregational Church of Almont, a small and charming town about an hour north of Detroit. Their reception was set in the rustic and sprawling green orchard behind Ali’s parents’ house in Romeo. Paper lanterns and string lights warmly lined the tent as the music wafted out into the pretty summer night. It was very personal- Ali’s parents built a beautiful waterfall and rock garden just for the event. Family and friends from all over joined them for this awesome day and celebrated with them well into the evening. Even their sweet dog Lexie came to celebrate with them from Georgia (her new collar even matched the bridesmaids dresses)!

We really enjoyed spending their awesome day with them- let us know what you think of the photos!

T&R were wonderful ladies to be around they took great picture of the wedding and all the people that were there to share the day with my best friend and her husband. The day coul not have been any better than it was, and they have awsome pictures to prove it. Great job… To bad I am already married because I would use their photo techs in a heart beat..

Ariella & Ian’s Ann Arbor Wedding

Ariella & Ian had a wonderful wedding ceremony and reception at the Sheraton Ann Arbor Hotel. Their first look was tearful and joyous, as was their Ketubah and Bedeckin ceremony, and excited, emotional family members surrounded them. Their guests came from all corners of the world to be with them that day. Personal details made things extra special- they both wore bracelets handed down to them by their respective grandparents; the ceremonial rings were passed down to them by family, and used at Ariella’s parents’ wedding; the cake topper is a vintage family heirloom. The cake was amazing, made by Jefferson Market & Cakery in Ann Arbor and Ariella’s white lily bouquet and the bridal party pink tulip bouquets were arranged by the Chelsea Flower Shop. The band Chateau kept the dance floor jam packed, both during the Horah and all evening with hits and classics. Staci Kennedy of Who’s Got the Time? kept the whole event flowing smoothly and running without a hitch. Ariella & Ian- congratulations, and thank you so much for allowing us to capture your awesome celebration!
